Naylor, Linsley and Gordon hit trebles

FISHBURN Park under 10s travelled to Scarborough to face Holt FC for the first time this season.

After a slow but confident start, the ball fell to Josh Linsley, who rans from the halfway line to score Fishburn’s first goal of the match.

Park continued to press and Mackenzie Gordon shot just over the bar.

Fishburn forwards Oliver Naylor and Josh Linsley worked well together which leds to Naylor having a shot on goal which rebounded off the bar for Linsley to follow up and score Fishburn’s second.

Three minutes later, Naylor scored a brilliant goal and just before half-time, the ball was passed by Linsley to Naylor to score his fourth goal of the match.

In the second half, Fishburn continued to push forward and Josh Linsley grabbed a hat-trick after he took on three Holt defenders.

Fishburn won a corner taken by Adam Warrilow and the ball fell to Oliver Hardiman whose shot hit the top of the bar.

After a Holt throw fell short the ball was picked up by Linsley who scored his fourth goal of the match.

Holt broke down the left wing and closed in on goal when a great covering tackle by Josh Noble put and end to their attack.

Warrilow then passed to Linsley who fed Kobe Gildroy for a shot on goal, the keeper saved but the ball fell into the path of Kobe for his first goal of the match.

Fishburn were passing freely when the ball came to Mackenzie Gordon on the right, who cut in to shoot from just inside the box.

A few minutes later, Gordon netted his second goal.

Holt had a shot on goal was saved by keeper Kai Mason and from the goal-kick the ball landed for Gordon to run into the box and complete his treble.
