LEALHOLM fought back from behind to win through to the next round of the Victoria Hotel League Challenge Cup.
In bright and breezy conditions, Lealholm were the livelier of the two teams in the opening minutes.
However, Bull’s took the lead when James Rowe robbed a defender and floated a beautiful ball over to the far post for Mike Lamb to head in.
Lealholm levelled when Rich Crossman played a great pass to Mike Thompson who drilled the ball past the keeper.
Lealholm seemed to have control of the game, but were shocked when first, James Rowe volleyed on to the bar from a corner which the Lealhom keeper could only stand and admire, then Mark Richardson’s 25-yard strike flew into the top corner of the net following a 20-yard run.
The second half belonged to Lealhom as Bull’s struggled with a number of players carrying injuries.
Lealhom levelled on 53 minutes with a great strike from Duncan Marson.
Substitute Darren Harland put his mark on the game, setting up Tom Raw who scored on 65 minutes and then put in a pinpoint cross for Dan Porter to tap in 10 minutes later. Lealholm closed the game out for a good win.
