Eastway Sports' remaining Saturday League games, and a cup final, have been postponed while an alleged attack on a referee is being dealt with.

The club's remaining seven Saturday League Division Three games, along with their Frank White Trophy final against Edgehill 3rds, due to be played on Good Friday at Seamer Sports Association, have been postponed until matters surrounding Wednesday's events have been dealt with.

The match between Goalsports and Eastway at Pickering Town's Mill Lane ground was abandoned with eight minutes remaining, with Goalsports leading 2-1.

A man ran on the pitch and barged into referee Bill Pashby, who needed to be stretchered off and was put into a waiting ambulance.

Goalsports were awarded the trophy with Eastway having been reduced to eight men during the match.
