Fishburn Park’s Teesside League season came to an end with a battling goalless draw at home to North Ormesby in manager Alan Price’s last game in charge.

With both sides missing several players due to the start of the cricket season, neither side could find any rhythm.

The Teessiders carved out the chance of the first half, a shot from distance turned over the bar by keeper Paul Watson.

The second half saw the home side have to make an early change when the injured Jake Faichney limped off.

This was a blow for Park as the hard-working striker had caused problems for the visitors, with Sam Pike coming on as his replacement.

Sam Pike was soon in on the action and was unlucky to be given marginally offside when put clear.

It was the visitors who created the best chance of the game when a cross from the right evaded the Fishburn defence to find the Ormesby striker, whose powerful header was brilliantly turned away by the athletic Watson.

The game turned into a stalemate after this with both defences on top and neither side able to make a chance of any note.
