Fishburn continued with their good start to the season, despite losing the lead.

The first half saw Fishburn go 2-0 up and the three points seemed theirs for the taking. The first goal came in the 19th minute when Lois Harkin showed good pressure from a Brooklyn goal kick, intercepted and then slotted the ball into the net.

The second was quick to follow, this time coming from a Fishburn corner. Harkin’s corner was flicked on by Emma-lee Orton which was then bundled in at the back post by Sam Burrows.

The second half was a lot tougher and saw Fishburn struggle to get forward and cause any threat.

After soaking up at lot of pressure with a good defensive performance, Fishburn were then undone when Brooklyn scored their first goal 17 minutes from the end.

Fishburn were unlucky not to hold on to their lead as Brooklyn scored again three minutes from time to make it 2-2. It was a disappointing end to a hard afternoon but seven points out of a possible nine is excellent.
