MIKE Lamb’s second half double cost Lealhom two points in Saturday’s clash with Bull’s Head.
Lealholm started the brighter of the two teams and took the lead on 12 minutes.
Winger Jamie Stevenson made a mazy run down the left and his cross fell into the path of Darren Harland who easily snapped up the chance to score.
On 22 minutes, Bulls Head marksman Jason Rye’s left foot shot was well saved by the Lealholm keeper.
Lealholm doubled their lead before the break as Bulls keeper McDonald was off balance when, from Nathan Gibson’s pass, Anthony Morgan hit a shot across the box on the right, which went in at the foot of the far post. Bulls were more lively from the off in the second half and were awarded a penalty on 49 minutes when Jason Blackett was brought down.
Mike Lamb stepped up and converted the spot-kick.
Following a rash challenge by Mike Dickinson, Lealholm’s player retaliated and when everything had calmed down, the referee had no option but to send him off.
Bull’s got their equaliser five minutes from time when a cross from Adam McFarland was not cleared by the Lealholm defence, Mike Lamb swivelled and shot to score his second goal of the game.
