‘Boro heavily beaten by 10 men

GOLDSBOROUGH were heavily beaten despite opponents Lingdale having a player sent off in the first 10 minutes.

The game started at a fast pace on a difficult and heavy pitch.

Lingdale adapted well to the early dismissal, started to play some good football and were on top of the game.

The opening goal came from a great cross that Karl Dugan glanced into the far corner.

Within minutes it was 2-0. Dewing rounded the keeper and was brought down but he stepped up and finished well in the right corner.

Goldsborough were struggling to get a hold in the game and were not using the extra man very well at all.

Moore, making his debut in the Lingdale goal, had little to do really but was alert when called up on.

Lingdale were awarded a second penalty when Dewing was fouled in the area. Bulmer took his turn from the spot and fired home well in to the left corner.

Dugan made it 4-0 with a great finish low in to the corner from a Liam Ball pass.

Goldsborough tried to press forward but were having very little luck against a resilliant back line who stood strong and defended very well.

Lingdale had chance to add to their score when they were awarded a third penalty. Dewing stepped up but scuffed his shot down the middle as the Goldsborough keeper saved with his legs.

Goldsborough had a bit of possession early in the second half as Lingdale didn’t quite take off where they left off but they failed to make any real chances.

Dugan on the left for Lingdale was particularly impressive and looking very dangerous on the ball. Dewing up front had to be praised for his work as his tirelessly wore down the back line of Goldsborough on his own.

Lingdale extended their lead with Dewing firing home from another Liam Ball through pass. Dewing completed his hat-trick soon after with Chris Bulmer supplying the good work this time and giving Dewing a simple one-on-one finish.

The goal of the game was saved til last when a cross in to the area seemed to have beaten Dugan who rose well and nodded in to the far corner from 12 yards.
