‘Boro complete fixtures with home win

GOLDSBOROUGH completed their season with a well-deserved win after a few bad results in their past few games.

The Lythe-based side took the lead through centre half Barry Brown who struck from 15 yards into the bottom right corner after 20 minutes.

Hollybush equalised after a defensive mix-up. but ‘Boro regained the lead on 40 minutes when Richter received the ball 25 yards from goal. He spotted keeper Townsend off his line and he coolly lobbed the ball into an empty net.

Goldsborough looked comfortable with the lead until on 70 mins when their right back was robbed of the ball in the box and this gave the Hollybush attacker the time and space to score.

Goldsborough pushed for the win and their attacking was rewarded 10 minutes from time when a cross from the right found Richter unmarked at the far post.

He brought down the ball and struck a shot past the stranded keeper to claim the three points.
