Whitby Town’s pre-season campaign draws to a close on Saturday when Kendal Town visit the Turnbull Ground.

The Evo-Stik Division One North Mintcakes will provide boss Darren Williams with one last chance to ensure that his charges are fully prepared for the start of the new league campaign, which gets underway with a home game against Stourbridge on August 15.

Midfielder Adam Gell is expected to return to the squad for the clash with the Cumbrians after missing Tuesday’s win at Pickering due to injury. Dave McTiernan is however still unavailable for selection.

“With this being our final game of pre-season it’s the last opportunity to give some game time to one or two lads who we’re having a look at,” Williams said.

“In terms of the side I’ll be sending out, there’s a good chance that there may be visitors from Stourbridge in the crowd, so I have to be careful not to give too much away.”

Saturday’s game at the Turnbull is a 3pm kick-off.

Admission is £6 for adults, £3 for concessions and £2 for under-18s. Under-16s accompanied by a paying adult go free.
