Whitby Town chalked up a 3-0 friendly victory over Evo-Stik Premier Division rivals Darlington on Saturday.

Lee Mason fired home from just inside the penalty area to hand Darren Williams’ side the lead at the interval.

Matty Waters notched a second before new-signing Mikey Roberts once again showed his killer instincts in front of goal to slot home Town’s third of the afternoon.

Former Blues striker Graeme Armstrong - who was amongst four ex-Whitby players in the Quakers’ squad - appeared from the bench in what was his first appearance since suffering a serious abdominal injury at the end of last season.
