Whitby Town can climb out of the Evo-Stik Premier Division relegation places when they visit Ilkeston tonight (Monday).

The Seasiders go into the fixture 22nd in the table, three points adrift of safety, but a win could take them into 20th place, should Stamford (21st) and Hyde United (20th) fail to win their clashes with Stourbridge and Blyth Spartans, respectively.

The trip to Derbyshire is the Blues’ second in three days after Saturday’s 3-2 loss at Buxton.

Boss Chris Hardy has a number of selection issues to contend with as Kieran Weledji and Callum Martin are unavailable, while Lee Bullock, Dale Hopson and Dave McTiernan are expected to miss out due to injury.

Ilkeston currently sit in 16th following a dreadful run of form since the turn of the year which has seen them win just twice in the league in 2016.

They have lost 11 of their 12 most recent league fixtures, including the last nine in succession, and were beaten 4-3 at home to Blyth on Saturday.

When the sides met at the Turnbull Ground in September, the Blues claimed a 4-2 success with Mikey Roberts netting a hat-trick.

Kick-off at the New Manor Ground this evening is at 7.45pm.
