Whitby Town captain Steven Snaith is confident that the battling qualities shown in Saturday’s draw at Stafford Rangers will bode well for the Seasiders as they push into the play-off running.

The Blues drew 0-0 at Marston Road, in a hard-fought encounter, and are preparing to travel to Nantwich Town, for the first of their final eight matches.

The Blues skipper, who missed Saturday’s game through suspension, will return to the side at Nantwich Town and is confident in his side’s fight going into the final play-off push.

“Over the season, we’ve learned to go away and dig in to get results,” Snaith told The Whitby Gazette.

“Saturday showed that. We didn’t get the three points that we wanted but we still got something.

“Three points would be perfect this weekend, but as long as we’re gaining points then we’re making good progress.

“It’s what we’ve been told to do.

“As long as our performances are there, we won’t be far away in any game, including this Saturday.”
