Hinderwell’s Beth Mead has been selected for a one-day England under 19 training camp which takes place at the end of the month.
England coach Mo Marley, has named a 24-player squad and this will be the final camp before she makes her selection of 18 for the UEFA European Women’s U19 Championship next monthy in Wales.
Eighteen-year old Beth, who plays for FA Women’s Premier League champions Sunderland, finished the past campaign as top scorer for the second season in succession and has been capped six times at England U19 level.
She will join the rest of the squad at St George’s Park on Tuesday and Wednesday.
It follows her earlier call-up for a three-day development training camp at St George’s Park at the start of July.
Fellow Sunderland forward Keira Ramshaw is on standby. Next season, Beth and the rest of the Black Cats will compete in FA Women’s Super League next March.
