BILL Estill took a six-wicket haul as Fylingdales 2nds kept hot on the heels of leaders Whitby 3rds.
Saturday’s opponents Sewerby 3rds - also chasing promotion - won the toss and elected to field.
Some accurate bowling restricted openers Will Barber and Guy Shrimpton to just nine runs from the first five overs.
In the 16th over with the score on 50, Shrimpton was run out.
John Beech joined Barber at the crease and the pair put on 54 for the third wicket before the pair were dismissed in consecutive deliveries.
Chris Shrimpton and John Fewster then shared a stand of 75, taking the score to 179.
Both lost their wickets near the end, leaving Robbie Hurworth and Theo Clarke to finish things off, with Fylingdales concluding on 193/5.
Renoldson was the pick of the bowlers, taking 4-50.
Sewerby’s reply started in explosive fashion with the fourth ball of their innings going for six, smashing a pavilion window in the process.
After five overs, openers Coultas and Dandy had taken the score to 24.
By the 17th over, Sewerby were 69/1, Coultas having been dropped on 17.
From here wickets fell at regular intervals - Coultas went for 46 and apart from Dennis with 47 and Newby (17 not out), no other Sewerby player got into double figures as they were all out for 146.
Bill Estill starred for Fylingdales with six wickets for 65 runs. This win sees Fylingdales staying in 2nd place behind Whitby 3rds.
