Clean sweep against tourers
SLEIGHTS Bowling Club were hosts to the Caledonia Touring Party from the Edinburgh area, winning on all five rinks.
It was a friendly match and their lady players looked so well in tartan skirts, while the men wore all white but with the same tartan ties.
The club also won a Friendly match against Hutton-le-Hole at home, but lost in the zone three knockout, away to Langtoft.

Sleights beat Hutton-le-Hole at home 89-63: D Marshall, J Blythman, P Harrison won 16-12; I Harrison, C Cowen, Be Raw lost 15-22; T Bogg, B Raw, L Campbell, won 28-7; J Rudsdale, P Perry, F Bogg won 13-8; J Dixon, H Dyson, P Rudsdale, won 17-14.
Sleights lost to Langtoft away 97-52: I Harrison, L White, B Lawson, M Swalwell lost 15-18; T Bogg, F Lawson, M Wade, J Blythman lost 8-26; T Reid, P Shardlow, E Clark, P Harrison, lost 11-23; E White, R Clark, O Tordoff, C Shardlow lost 18-30.
