A 100% start
CASTLETON, Danby and District Bowling Club has won all its weekend friendlies so far.
It beat Loftus by 105-74 and on Sunday, when only 12 ends could be played because of the weather, the result was Castleton 52, Stokesley 45.
Last weekend in the first leg of the cup match, the club beat Kirkbymoorside 132-61 and on Sunday, the club beat Great Ayton by 108-89.
There is an away match against Hutton-le-Hole tomorrow, 2.30pm start.
In the Cleveland League, the club won its first match of the season against Skelton by 75 (7 pts) to 71 (3 pts), but it lost to Brotton Badgers by 61 (4 pts) to 84 (6 pts) and to Stokesley by 74 (2 pts) to 82 (8 pts).
The last two games were wins, by 104 (10 points) against Guisborough Priory 71 (0 points) and by 74 (8 points) against Corus 66 (2 points).
Today the club plays at home to Carlin How and on Tuesday there is an away match against Brotton – both 6.30pm start.
In the Langbaurgh Triples League the club lost to Smith's Dock by 57 (2 points) to 59 (6 points).
On Wednesday there is a home match against Smith's Dock 'B', 6.30pm start.
