Maroons face big trophy clash

WHITBY Maroons rugby team are gearing up for a big match on Saturday when they take on Hullensians in the quarter-finals of the Yorkshire Silver Trophy.
The game kicks off at 3pm and the club is appealing for a strong home crowd to cheer them into the last four.
The Maroons' league season has finished now, with the club ending up fourth in the Durham and Northumberland League's third division.

* TWENTY tickets are left for the club's end-of-season dinner, which features former England rugby star Jeff Probyn as guest speaker.
The event next Friday starts at 7.15pm and tickets cost £25.
