AFTER a hard-fought campaign, the George Hotel B team were crowned champions of the Whitby Pool League division two on the final game of the season with a dramatic 6-1 win over bottom team Fisherlads.
Having won their previous game 7-0, the George B put the destiny of winning the title in their own hands, only needing to equal or better the result of their nearest rivals The Fleece on the final game.
With The Fleece managing a tight 4-3 win over The Met A team, victory and the title went to the George B.
