My family and I went to the River Thames Pageant last Sunday 3 June.
It was cold, sometimes showery, and we did not have a bad spot we were opposite the London Eye across the Thames on some steps by the entrances to the river cruise boats.
We saw the “William Riley” so courageous, we spotted it among the other boats, I bet the crew were cold.
We saw the Queen and the Duke Of Edinburgh in the beautiful gold and red barge The Spirit of Chartwell, so lovely.
After four and a half hours we decided to call it a day, we were really cold and very wet by then as it poured down, but what a day, and one we’ll never forget, but well done the “William Riley”.
