SS Dredgenot is living up to its name.

It has not dredged for at least two weeks in either Whitby or Scarborough.

Meanwhile, many vessels have had to wait outside the harbour for several hours as they have been unable to enter the harbour on the recent very low ebb tides.

This has serious financial and time implications for the owners and fishermen who man these boats.

A few boats have also been grounded including a couple of cobles and a yacht.

When will the Scarborough Borough Council Harbour Master and Cllr Cockerill, the Harbour Portfolio Holder, get their act together and get these two important harbours properly dredged so the users can continue to earn their living and enjoy their craft?

Answers will be gratefully received as soon as possible, you know where I am.
