Just recently got home from a visit to Staithes.
After hearing a lot about this village we thought after years of visiting the surrounding area we would come and check it out.
Well the disappointment.
Where is the sand?
We were told it was a coastal town, but how can it be classed as coastal without sand?
The kids were very disappointed, they could not use the buckets we got them from Poundland.
Can something not be done within the local authorities to come up with some kind of fake beach?
Surely this is possible?
Coming to the coast we want sand castles and swimming, not seaweed and stench.
Anyway next year it’s back to Whitby to make up for this year’s disappointment.
