In reply to Mark Greasby’s letter as regards to the state of Whitby cemetery - he states that some graves appear to be cared for by family.
I would just like to let him know that my parents’ grave is cared for by my daughters and myself and that he does not need a mile-long electric cable, petrol mower or machete, but like my daughters, who cut the grass for me, can purchase a cordless Freedom Shape and Hedge Cutter with extra blades and long handle if needed. It is small and compact and is powered by lithium battery. It does the job and can be purchased at Whitby’s Homebase or any Argos store.
I hope this is of help to Mr Greasby if he wishes to care for his family grave.
