The Whitby Trefoil Guild celebrated their 50th anniversary at Sneaton Village Hall.

The gathering was attended by Guilders, Supporters and other associates of the Trefoil Guild.

The Whitby Trefoil Guild has supported and offered practical advice to girl-guides since 1961.

The Guild is largely made up of ex-Girl Guides, all over the age of 60, who wish to remain a part of the Guiding world. As Whitby branch secretary Brenda Thorpe says: “It’s a nice way for old Girl Guides to keep in touch - once a guide, always a guide!”

She jokingly added: “Though you must understand, I’m not actually saying it’s an OAP’s group as such!”

A beautiful cake was made and contributed by Jude Mailer, and iced by Anne Clark and Margaret Peart.
