Stricken anglers saved

STAITHES and Runswick lifeboat was launched on Saturday morning to rescue four anglers on board a vessel that had broken down near Skinningrove.

The RNLI rescue boat was launched at 10.10am and quickly located the 16-foot fishing vessel.

The vessel was then towed to Runswick Bay harbour, which was deemed the safest port due to conditions at Skinningrove and the amount of water in Staithes harbour.
