A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital this evening (Saturday 4 May) after he was involved in a collision on the A171 between Hawsker and Normanby.
The incident occurred at around 7.30pm when a black Peugeot 206 is believed to have lost control when negotiating a bend, approaching Hawsker. The car collided with a blue Triumph motorcycle, seriously injuring the rider.
A helicopter from Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to the scene and the rider was taken to James Cook University Hospital with two suspected broken legs, although his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
