IT has been 32 years since ABBA last toured and their tickets were the hottest property in town.
Years later their popularity shows no signs of slowing and next month for one night only a touring tribute show on Sunday 24 April aims to recreate their music at Scarborough’s Futurist Theatre.
Super Trouper, the concert, takes audience members back in time by recreating one of the world’s finest pop groups in a live stage performance.
The show has been delighting audiences of all ages since its formation in 1999, selling out UK theatres nationally and in 2002 it played 18 weeks in the Strand Theatre in London.
Since that time Super Trouper has conquered other parts of the world, with concerts in Demark, Sweden, Russia, France, Luxembourg, USA, South America and Australia.
The concert presentation celebrates the music and style of ABBA in a respectful and enjoyable way.
Super Trouper revives special memories of when ABBA ruled the airwaves.
Their songs are timeless and will last forever.
Join in and enjoy all of your favourites including Mamma Mia, Voulez Vous, Dancing Queen, Winner Takes It All, Super Trouper and many more.
So dig out those platforms, dust down those flares and thank ABBA for the music.
l THE Whitby Gazette has teamed up with The Futurist to give away three sets of family tickets – worth £50 each – each admitting two adults and two children to see the show for free on Easter Sunday (24 April) at 7.30pm. Individual seats are priced £18.50 adults, £16.50 OAPS and £14 for children.
