Rags to riches tale of Cinderella

IT may be January but in Whitby, the panto season is far from over.

Whitby’s Apollo Players presents the popular tale of Cinderella which is on tonight and tomorrow at 7.15pm at Whitby Pavilion Theatre as well as a matinee tomorrow at 2.30pm.

The show is the Apollo Players’ 40th pantomime production at Whitby Pavilion.

The classic story is brought to life through the production team of director Dave Masters, musical director Chris Wales and choreographer Francoise Russell, with a talented local cast of more than 20 performers.

It is a tale of rags to riches and back again.

Cinderella’s stepsisters are out to stop her leaving the kitchen while Buttons is full of unrequited love. Meanwhile her father Baron Hardup has his hands full with his new wife (mummsy to the sisters).

Not to mention the brokers’ men who are out to redevelop his debt ridden pile.

Journey through the spectacle of the land of wishes to the grand ball room.

But what happens at midnight?
