TIME is running out to support a Whitby charity shop’s latest appeal.

Throughout April the staff at Oxfam, on New Quay Road, have been taking part in the Oxfam Donate Your Bra campaign, which concludes on Monday.

Donated bras will either be sold in the store, with all proceeds supporting Oxfam’s work in under-developed countries, or they will be sent to Oxfam Wastesaver, which sees them sent to Senegal to be sold on local markets.

Store manager Margaret Humberstone said: “To buy a bra in Senegal costs a day’s wages, so as you can imagine we need all the bras we can get.

“If you would like to donate your bras please call into the shop and pop them into our special pink bin.

“So come on ladies, donate your bras today and help us to make a difference.”
