A FAMILY fun day is to be held by Yorkshire Coast Homes in Whitby to showcase the services the organisation provides.
The free event on Monday 5 November at Whitby Pavilion will feature a bouncy castle, face painting, giant sumo fun activities for children, workshops for adults and a wide range of stalls selling goods and providing information and advice.
Visitors can come in fancy dress with a Hallowe’en theme and there will be a prize for the best outfit of the day.
Community Involvement Manager Richard Mair said: “There will be the opportunity to meet the various departments from Yorkshire Coast Homes and attend workshops on things like the new choice-based letting system.
“There will also be lots of fun things to do, like dance workshops for the children.”
Called The Hallowe’en Flagship Event, the day is open to all.
Mr Mair added: “We don’t always shout about what we are doing and this gives us an opportunity to put our message out to people in a fun and enjoyable day.”
Others attending the event will include Broadacres Housing Association, Scarborough Borough Council, the Home Improvement Agency, Scarborough Veterans Group, North Yorkshire Police, Seachange, Stonham Homestay and YH Training.
Transport to the event can be arranged for YCH customers. Anyone needing it should contact (01723) 343438. The event runs from midday to 3pm.
