A pensioner has been left fearing for her safety after a car crashed into her back yard for the second time in a month.
At 6.30pm on Sunday morning Alice Duell, 77, was woken by the noise of a car careering into the yard behind her cottage on Lythe High Street.
The female driver of the car was taken to hospital and Alice was left in tears by the incident and is hoping action can be taken before someone is killed.
She told the Gazette: “Both times I was in the house, when I came downstairs I just burst into tears.
“Usually the yard is full of flowers but they are all ruined and the last time a stone trough my son who died gave to me was broken into a thousand pieces.
“They must have been coming like hell through the village.
“They blame all sorts like the road being filthy but it was just speed.”
