Pair raise £2,500 from daredevil aeroplane wing walk

Dot Coney from Staithes and Rosemary Stevens from Boulby completed a 15 minute wing walk at Church Fenton Air Field near Leeds recently in aid of Parkinsons UK.

The response immediately after the flight from Rosemary was: “I want to do it again”.

Dot breathed a sigh of relief and was pleased it was over!

The duo’s brave effort has raised to date more than £2,500 and they thank everyone who has supported amd sponsored them.

Last week, the Gazette reported how 82-year-old Audrey Gates, of Crowdy Close in Whitby, also completed a wing walk and raised more than £500 for the air ambulance, adding this feat along with sky diving and gliding challenges. Audrey fancies abseiling next.
