A new member is being sought to join the North York Moors National Park Authority’s team of Members.

The appointment will be made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and candidates will be expected to have a good awareness of the issues affecting National Parks and significant senior professional expertise in one or more of the following sectors: marketing and finance; cultural heritage, would be a particular advantage.

The appointments will start in April 2016 and are initially for up to four years with the possibility of re-appointment for a total period of up to eight years. The position is unsalaried, although an allowance and expenses are provided.

Members are asked to commit between two and three days a month to Authority work.
