THE ANNUAL town meeting for residents of Whitby is being held next week.
Coun Terry Jennison, Mayor of Whitby, made the official notification of the town assembly, which by law has to be announced seven days prior to the meeting, on Tuesday.
One of the main topics up for discussion is the lack of investment in the town’s maritime infrastructure and other related matters which are believed to include the town’s fishing crisis.
Matters connected with the town which have been put forward in writing will also be discussed as will the report from last year’s meeting.
The meeting is open to the public but only people registered as local government electors will be entitled to vote.
It will be at the Coliseum Theatre on Wednesday at 6.30pm.
