The second White Lily Christmas fayre will this year take place on Sunday December 7 at the new venue of The Met in Whitby.
The event is already proving to be popular, with stalls sold out and a waiting list in place.
The fayre will feature a Santa’s grotto, raffle, chocolate tombola, cake stall and more.
Starstruck Performing Arts will be performing on the day while youngsters can get into the festive spirit in the popular children’s fancy dress competition. Donations of chocolate for the tombola will be gratefully received.
The White Lily fund-raising for this year got off to flier with Kate Sanderson’s Total Warrior challenge netting £561. Money raised by White Lily activities, which culminates in a glitzy ball next May, is split between three local hospices – St Catherine’s, Butterwick and Zoe’s Place.
The kitty is set to be further boosted by local runner, and Whitby councillor, Phil Trumper, who is taking on the 10km Great South Run a week on Sunday in Portsmouth.
White Lily organiser Lucy Bowes said: “We are delighted he has chosen to raise money for us. Good luck from the White Lily Team.”
