Walker falls on Cleveland Way

THE AIR ambulance was called out to help a walker who had fallen but turned around before it got there.

It turned out the woman wasn’t as seriously injured as first thought so the Great North Air Ambulance was sent back to base.

She was taken to hospital by land ambulance following the incident on the Cleveland Way just south of Whitby on Monday lunchtime.
