Tyke that and party in Staithes!
Yorkshire Day will be celebrated in Staithes this Sunday with a special event at the St Peter's Centre.
From 11am people can enjoy Yorkshire tea and coffee and home made cakes including parkin, fruit cake, cheese and scones to commemorate the day which honours all things good about the region.
And tomorrow and Sunday, visitors will be able to view an exhibition and sale of original paintings put on by art dealers Tom and Rosamund Jordan at the venue including works by the renowned Staithes Group of artists.
The paintings depicting Staithes, Whitby and Runswick Bay also feature scenes by Robert Leslie Howey (1900-1981) and Michael Fowler, the Society for All Artists (SAA) Professional Artist of the Year 2009 award winner.
The Jordans have donated a number one limited edition print of a picture of Staithes beck by Henry Barlow Carter which will be raffled off.
All proceeds from the raffle and the sale of refreshements will go towards the upkeep of the St Peter's Centre.
