Teenager who died in crash is named

AN 18-YEAR-OLD motorist who died in an accident near Goathland has been named.

He has been identified as Thomas Lloyd Warrington of Malton.

A 17-year-old youth who was a passenger is recovering in hospital after being airlifted to hospital.

The teenager from Yedingham near Malton is "poorly but stable" in The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough where he is being treated for serious injuries.

The crash happened at Thomasson Foss on the road between Goathland and Beck Hole, when the red Renault Clio struck a tree at around 7.40am on Sunday morning.

Floral tributes have been left at the scene.

No further details have yet been released about the identity of the man who died the same day near Sleights when his trike left the road at around 3pm.
