Sleights showstopper

THE sun shone as a large crowd headed for the 129th Sleights Village Show.

Entries were up on last year with most sections being well supported.

There was a magnificent display of home baking in the produce section and nearly 200 entries in the children's sections.

A display of birds of prey and reptiles, classic cars, several craft stalls and entertainment throughout the afternoon by Simply Brass Band created a traditional village show enjoyed by all the visitors.

The committee would like to thank competitors, visitors and helpers.
