A 21-YEAR-OLD Whitby man suffered injuries after he was glassed in the face by a woman on New Year’s Eve.

Police were called to Wellington Road at 11.45pm where they arrested a 22-year-old woman from West Yorkshire on suspicion of wounding.

She has been released on bail.

A 30-year-old man from West Yorkshire was also arrested for being drunk and disorderly issued with fixed penalty notice for disorder.

Elsewhere in town a 46-year-old man was arrested on Baxtergate for being drunk and disorderly.
