Students at Fylingdales Primary School have been laying the groundwork for a tourism campaign which is taking place across the national park.

Tanya Eyre is eduction officer for the Hawk and Owl Trust on Fylingdales Moor and she introduced Years 3 to 6 pupils at the school to the “Lost sheep in pink jerseys” campaign.

Earlier in the day the students had walked around Fylingthorpe with their teacher, Jenni Straw, to plan a treasure hunt for these ‘lost sheep’. The class is now set to produce sheep to display in local shop windows and at campsites around Robin Hoods Bay. Anyone interested in taking part should contact Fylingdales Primary School on (01947) 880429.
