Police carry out drain searches

POLICE carrying out a murder investigation in Whitby have started searching drains in the Bagdale area.

Teams of officers are working their way up from the incident scene at Spring Hill Court and past the hospital and the police station.

A 22 year old woman and a 24 year old man have been arrested in connection with the incident and are in police custody being questioned.

Police were alerted last night by the ambulance service following a “domestic disturbance” in which a 32 year-old Whitby man suffered fatal chest injuries.
