Police appeal after racism incident

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man reported he had been racially abused at the Spar Garage in Whitby.

The incident happened at around 7pm on Sunday 10 February but police have only just released details.

A blue Peugeot was parked at the first pump adjacent to the sliding doors to the garage shop. A white male with short dark hair in his mid 20s, wearing a dark, long sleeved top had been in the shop minutes earlier and was then seen to go into the front passenger side of the Peugeot.

This was captured on CCTV and there are people in the vicinity who may have heard what the male in the car said the to the victim who was stood outside the sliding doors.
