Murder accused in court

A POTENTIAL trial date for the woman accused of murdering her fiancé in Whitby has been set.

Rebecca Dormer (22) of Spring Hill Court made another brief appearance at Leeds Crown Court on Monday to face a charge of murdering Gareth Matthews following a domestic incident on Friday 22 February.

No plea was entered but a trial was fixed to start on 12 August.

A plea and case management hearing is also set to take place on 27 March.
