Man guilty of assault

A CHURCH Street man was found guilty of assault at a Scarborough Magistrates Court hearing recently.

Edward Clemitshaw (23), was charged with assaulting a Landsdowne Road man at Station Square on 27 May last year.

He was ordered to undertake 200 hours unpaid work and must pay his victim £100. He was also ordered to pay £685 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
