Man fined for dumping rubbish

A man who dumped rubbish in Hinderwell has been handed over £1500 worth of fines.

Samuel Wnek from Skelton-In-Cleveland was found guilty at Scarborough Magistrates Court on Friday of fly-tipping in Porrett Lane, Hinderwell.

A pile of waste material had been found at the side of the road and was eventually traced back to Wnek.

He was fined £1000 with an additional £450 costs to pay and a £100 victim surcharge.

Andy Skelton, Head of Environmental Services at SBC said: “It was a particularly serious fly-tipping incident and the sentence reflects this. We will continue to have no hesitation in taking action against people who choose to dump waste illegally.”
