Husband and wife TV team in musical show

HUSBAND and wife team Linda Lusardi and Sam Kane will celebrate the magic of the musicals in a forthcoming show.

And the Whitby Gazette has three pairs of tickets, worth 32 each, to be won for Viva Broadway - see Tuesday 16 February's edition for details of how to win.

Viva Broadway highlights today's hit shows on Broadway, such as Little Mermaid, and the Peter Allen Musical The Boy From Oz, along with classics such as Phantom of the Opera, Mary Poppins, Mamma Mia and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

Sam Kane is best-known for his long-running role on TV soap Brookside playing camp hairdresser Peter Phelan, as well as appearing in Coronation Street as Gary Adams and in Hollyoaks and recently in Hot Flush alongside Lesley Joseph.

Sam has also starred in tours of musicals like Carousel and Boogie Nights – and he and Linda have recently completed a successful pantomime run in Northampton of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs.

Showcasing the best of Broadway hits from the wonderful musicals, to the brand new Broadway shows not everyone gets a chance to see over in America on Broadway.

This spectacular show brings it all to you.

Viva Broadway brings you the best of Sam Kane and Linda Lusardi singing the songs from hit musicals such as Copacabana, Joseph, and songs from Jerry Herman's Musicals along with a spectacular selection of all the Broadway musicals.

It co-stars Paul Morgan and the legendary showcase dancers and vocalists all under the direction of Paul Morgan.

With spectacular costumes and sets, and a cast of talented, beautiful performers in a stage extravaganza, this new show at the Futurist Theatre in Scarborough hits the stage in a star-spangled celebration of the best musicals ever.

Executive Producer Geoffrey JL Hindmarch added: "It is a great privilege to have Linda Lusardi and Sam Kane in my brand new show Viva Broadway which I am sure the public will enjoy in this time of the recession."

The show is at the Futurist Theatre, Scarborough on Saturday 6 March at 7.30pm. Seats cost 16, concessions 14 and children 8.
