Hawsker man in court on attempted murder charge

A Hawsker man will appear at court today accused of attempted murder.

Michael Turford, 31, of Back Lane in High Hawsker, is accused of the attack following an incident outside the Hare and Hounds pub in April.

Farm labourer Turford is also charged with possessing a bladed article and driving above the legal alcohol limit.

Turford is expected to enter a plea at York Crown Court today.
