Goth weekend extra to coincide with solstice

A GOTHIC event is being held in Whitby to coincide with the summer solstice.

Sexy Solstice is being organised by the people who organise Sexy Sunday in town twice a year.

Tickets are now on sale priced at 30 for the event at The Met in Whitby, which will run from next Friday to Saturday.

Bands, DJs and store holders will all be present at the event.

Rome Burns and Lupine have been lined up to play on Friday with Uninvited Guest and Scary Bitches on Saturday.

Tickets are 30 for all three nights or 12 for one night.

There will be traders packing out The Met for not only goths but locals too.

There will be tarot reading, clothes, jewellery, Whitby Dog Rescue, Dogs Trust stall and many more. Sunday will be like a usual sexy Sunday DJ night with DJ Ghost, Marie, Joolz, DJ Deadguy and Dave the Hat.

Ade and Joolz will astonish visitors with a Monster Lab on the Saturday at 1pm in Whitby Rifle Club.

Their Monster Lab will feature a definitive guide to horror, special effects, prosthetics creation and application methods, as well as a feast of blood-curdling wound effects.

A tutorial session will be held, where people will get a chance to handle the materials and try their hand at some of the techniques used in the industry.

The cost is not included in the Solstice ticket price.

There will be an admission fee where a portion of this goes to Labrador Welfare and Cat’s protection Wakefield and Dewsbury district.
