Firework lit in parked car

WHITBY fire brigade were called out at 11pm on Monday night.

It is believed some youths broke the window of a blue Ford Ka parked in a lay-by at Egton and threw a firework into it.

Police say the car had a small burn about six inches in length on the back seat.

The fire crew returned back to Whitby fire station after about half an hour.
