Fire crews rushed to Commondale on Thursday afternoon following reports of a house fire.
Upon arrival, fire crews from Danby, Stokesley and Guisborough discovered a bedroom on fire at a detached property in the building.
There was nobody in the property at the time, but the bedroom suffered fire damage and the property was severely damaged by smoke.
The fire was reported at just after midday, when smoke alarms were activated at the home.
Six breathing apparatus, two hosereels, a thermal imaging camera, ceiling hook, door enforcer and small tools were used.
Fire investigation was also carried out with the cause of the fire to be determined, though, at this time, not believed to be suspicious.
